Q. Not looking for a "social bookmarking" site... I have thousands of bookmarks and I want to be able to organize them with a drag & drop interface. I realize Firefox's built-in bookmark manager will allow this, but I'm looking for something a little more robust. Ideally, something that has a preview screen of the bookmark's corresponding web page, a built-in link checker (finding bookmarks that link to dead pages), and maybe some kind of "optimizer" that will check my bookmarks on-demand or automatically & alert me to duplicates and newly-deceased current bookmarks. A. I see you're a man who knows what he wants! :) Try Netmarks Manager. I think it prolly has everything you want. "Dirt cheap" is relative, but it has 45 day evaluation demo. After that it's $24 to register.

How do you arrange your bookmarks on Google Chrome?

This is what you do. - Go to tools (the wrench in the upper right) -Then click on "Always show bookmarks bar" - Then a bar will appear under the address bar. - When you go to a website say Yahoo.com, and you want to add it to your favorites, just click the little star to the left of the address bar (the one where you type your websites) -Then a popup will come up and you can change the name to that bookmark to anything you want. -When you are satisfied with the name, press enter and a button for that website will appear under the address bar in your browser. A. A CD-RW and Linux dual boot system with a VNC. A regular backup routine, puters will crash, anything saved off line and on Removable media is best. I also use one of 3 emails to store links in,that way I can access all my bookmarks from any PC on any System. I make a Inbox Folder called URLs, then sub box that by category, oneis My PC,(drivers and junk) one is OS, (Linux,Windows,Apple) one is Tech(Updates,News,Events) and so on.

Internet Explorer 7.xx Bookmark Chaos?
Q. My bookmarks have fallen into inexcusable chaos in the browser. Folders are all tangled up with links. When I view the bookmarks in file manager, everything is nicely organized. Is there a way that I can fix this without doing it the painful manual way and moving one at a time? Can I purge them from the browser and have it reload them? Thank you!

My Bookmark button does not show; unable to run antispy program. Why?
Q. Most of the times my Bookmark button disappears. Tried all tricks of the trade; doesn't work. When I try to run the antispy scan from the toolbar, instead of scanning, it takes me to the download window. Download starts but after a while fails download. Then, following message is shown: "Internet Explorer on WindowsXP SP2 may be blocking installation of the Yahoo! Install Manager required to update Anti-Spy. We all know that Yahoo sometimes has problems with Y!A, but they wouldn't go out and buy a defective or unsafe product and risk losing millions of customers. Not only does Yahoo think its a safe site, so does Firefox. You can get a special extension to make it easier to access del.icio.us from the Firefox browser. I dont know how to veiw documents once transfered on my PSP?

Toolbar acting weird, wont save bookmarks, buttons, and loses avatar picture?
Q. Since upgrading to the lastest version (which I have installed several times in attempt to fix the problems), unless I try to bookmark a page within the first few moments that I start IE, it just hangs and says it is saving. I have waited but it does nothing. Same for adding a button. Also sometimes my avatar picture does not show-up, and yahoo mail will hang on loading - I have to kill the IE process in task manager, and try again and/or do absolutely nothing until it finishes loading yahoo mail. Have I been infected with a rootkit that steals the yahoo toolbar messages or maybe a virus has infected my avatar image (which I have changed a few times). A. What this sounds like is that you've run a third-party utility like Windows Washer. Wanna clean your disk? Be careful what you ask for! It's just your luck that your browser bookmarks and favorites reside on the ASP servers. Your best bet, in this case, is to go ahead and upgrade to the latest version of Netscape, I think, 8. something or other. I'll bet your bookmarks are there when you install this. Do yourself a favor: forget tracking. Forget sinister. They have nothing to do with the mundane.

Removing errors from yahoo download manager?
Q. I have a lot of tracks in the Download manager that show "Error - Track is available for bookmark only". How do I remove these because they are listed as 'Active' and every time I connect my portable device it tries to redownload these tracks? I think these are tracks that I downloaded some time ago but are not available for download anymore.
